We are looking for a globally minded colleague, who has organisational skills, is result-oriented and has an interest in art-house cinema, to complete our team of twenty people, working in a dynamic and international environment. You will assist our Servicing and Post-Production Supervisor Noémie Phillipson with the deliveries of our films to clients, the inventory and analysis of material from our existing catalogue, and with the handling of new incoming materials, may they be new productions or film restorations. You will assist our COO Sophie Cabon with the development of Coproduction Office catalogue’s online presence, the creation of marketing assets (interviews, behind the scene etc.) and the delivery of our films to VOD platforms.

JOB OUTLINE

The main aspects of the job are

a) client facing in following the delivery of the film materials:• Be a bridge between the sales and servicing team
• Discuss material needs with clients: distributors, festivals, press
• Negotiate material fees with distributors and labs
• Guaranty safe delivery of materials to distributors and festivals.

b) improving the quality of the existing materials of our catalogue:
• Analyse the inventory of our catalogue materials,
• Assist in the search for materials, budgeting and general post-production for film restorations.

c) promoting our catalogue:
• Assist the marketing team in the creation of lateral materials: trailers, interviews, bonuses.
• Increase the online presence of our catalogue titles online by approaching platforms, negotiating fees and uploading the data in collaboration with the sales team

d) within the post-production team and in particular for TRIANGLE OF SADNESS by Ruben Östlund:
• Organise test screenings
• Receive and control the materials delivered by producers

 

YOU ARE

A native or fully fluent in English and German. A third language (French, or Swedish is a plus)
Comfortable negotiating fees with suppliers and clients
A Cinephile with a knowledge of Arthouse cinema
Have knowledge of broadcast and distribution technical terms
Able to deal with stress and prioritisation with an affinity for putting in place procedures (+ mettre en place et suivre procédure)
Proficient with Excel, Word and server software.

We are looking for a future colleague starting as a film production intern to complete our team of twenty people, with the possibility for the internship to later develop into a position as a project coordinator and/or junior producer at Coproduction Office.

You are globally minded, have organizational skills, have an interest in art-house cinema, and have an excellent command of both French and German languages. You will work in a dynamic and international environment and will be performing financial and coordination tasks together with our producer Marina Perales (Paris), our CFO Riccardo Molteni (Paris) and our founder Philippe Bober (Berlin and Paris). Our current projects and productions are the upcoming films by Jessica Hausner, Susanne Heinrich, Ruben Östlund and Ulrich Seidl. These films are at different stages of realisation, from the early development stage, to financing, production, post-production, festival premiere or distribution via our sales branch. You will thus be able to assist our producers and our CFO over the entire creation process of a film. You will also get an insight into the film financing of these films in the countries where the company is active, France, Germany, UK and Denmark, which will provide you with good foundational knowledge of the process of financing and producing art-house cinema in Europe.

JOB OUTLINE

You will assist our producers and our CFO over the entire creation process of a film (from the earliest development stage, to financing, production, post-production, festival premiere and the distribution via our sales branch) on our current projects and productions by Ruben Östlund, Ulrich Seidl, Jessica Hausner, and Susanne Heinrich.

YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE:
• Researching for prospective finance, casting, coproducers…
• Collaborating in the creation of both content and visual presentations for funding applications.
• Coordinating funding applications and following up with funds, financers, projects, banks and clients as well as performing other financial and coordination tasks.
• Assisting producers with research and coordination tasks during the different phases of the production process, script development, locations, casting…
• Monitoring and keeping an overview of film cashflow and budgets together with our CFO and our executive producers, and preparing cost reports.
• Participating in test screenings of our upcoming films, and contributing to the initial marketing plans

YOU ARE:
• A native or fully fluent French and German-speaker with an excellent command of both languages
• Capable of interacting with professionals across different sectors: film industry, public sector, finance and accounting
• Able to demonstrate previous experience in the film industry
• Precise, accountable and motivated, with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
• Flexible, problem solver with a proactive skill set
• Proficient with Excel, able to manage budgets, you have a “head for numbers” and have an interest in finance/accounting (any legal training is a plus)

Coproduction Office is looking for a Project Coordinator for its Berlin Cultural Centre

Coproduction Office comprises a Paris-based international film sales company, and film production companies in four European countries. Its sister company Briefmarken Weine is one of Berlin’s best wine bars, focusing on artisanal and natural wines paired with authentic Italian bistro cuisine, also importing Italian “vin d’auteurs” to Germany. Coproduction Office’s founder Philippe Bober has produced forty films to date with twelve in competition in Cannes, winning two Golden Palms: TRIANGLE OF SADNESS (2022) and THE SQUARE (2017) both by Ruben Östlund.

Coproduction Office is now developing a unique cultural space combining a 3 screen arthouse cinema, an art exhibition venue, 2 restaurants and a wine bar. Located in Berlin’s city centre in an iconic listed building it is to open its doors to the public in early 2025. We are looking for a proactive coordinator for this pioneering interdisciplinary project. Our working languages are German and English, in which full working proficiency is expected, further languages are beneficial (in particular French and Italian).

You Are:

– A native or fully-fluent German-speaker
– Currently studying or working in the fields of architecture, civil engineering, interior design or real estate management
– Cosmopolitan, with an appreciation for culture, film and/or wine, and have a positive working attitude
– A perfectionist, with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
– A creative-thinker with a talent for finding outside-the-box solutions
– Excellent at organization, communication and time management, with the ability to prioritize

– Continuous follow-up of the treasury plan and close coordination with our CFO
– Preparing a marketing plan and materials
– Analysis of processes and suggestions on how to optimize them
– Researching new suppliers
– Compiling documents, in particular spreadsheets and presentations.

– Organizing media relations and support for the project.

Hallo, ich habe Anfang 2022 Acting Lab Berlin gegründet, um Schauspielern und Regisseuren die Möglichkeit zu geben, sich zu treffen, gemeinsam zu arbeiten und zu trainieren, ihre Fähigkeiten zu stärken und sich auszuprobieren, und das alles zu einem kostengünstigen Preis, besonders jetzt nach der Corona-Pandemie. Daher teilen wir uns lediglich die Gebühr für die Raummiete, je nach Teilnehmerzahl 2-4 Euro. Wir machen Szenenarbeit, derzeit hauptsächlich auf Englisch, aber Deutsch ist auch möglich. Wir haben jetzt zwei Gruppen, die sich alle zwei Wochen treffen, eine mittwochs vormittags und eine samstags vormittags. Wir suchen nach neuen Mitgliedern für den Sommer und darüber hinaus.

Hello, I founded Acting Lab Berlin in early 2022 to give actors and directors the opportunity to meet, work and train together, strengthen their skills and explore,, all at a cost-effective price, especially now after the Corona pandemic. Therefore, we only share the fee for room rental, 2-4 euros depending on the number of participants. We do scene work, currently mainly in English, but German is also possible. We now have two groups that meet every two weeks, one on Wednesday mornings and one on Saturday mornings. We are looking for new members for the summer and beyond.
