For our short film Agar (AR/GER) we are looking for one actress.

Sinopsis:

The story takes place dystopically in the near future amidst earth, working bodies, snakes, bones, and the humid heat of the Argentinean ParanĂĄ jungle. Agar, a woman who works in a rural brickyard where only women work, and where the soil used to make the bricks is toxic, develops a strange disease.

Agar: Medium height woman with messy dark hair, mediterranean appearance, morena or latina skin complexion.

With no dialogues and filmed in one day, the scene that needs to be done is about the actress laying on the coast of a lake in Brandenburg surrounded by ceramic sculptures and having a sort of a spiritual trance.

Possible shooting day during the week of 14-20 July. Unfortunately there is no budget but we are glad to offer food for the whole day and the travel to the shooting spot.

Performing Arts Programm Berlin: Open Call: Dokumentarischer Kurzfilmbeitrag zu „Spielraum – Freie Szene Tage der darstellenden KĂŒnste Berlin 2025“ 150 150 spielraum

Vom 10. bis 21. September 2025 findet die zweite Ausgabe von „Spielraum – Freie Szene Tage der darstellenden KĂŒnste Berlin“ statt. Wir suchen nach einem Kurzfilmbeitrag, der die Freie Szene Tage 2025 dokumentiert.

„Spielraum“ wird von der Berliner Freien Szene gemeinsam gestaltet und vom Performing Arts Programm Berlin koordiniert. Das Programm umfasst vielfĂ€ltige Publikumsaktionen, die neben und mit dem regulĂ€ren BĂŒhnenprogramm stattfinden. Im Fokus stehen die Orte der Freien Szene als Orte der Begegnung, des Austauschs und der gesellschaftlichen Transformation. Mehr Informationen unter: https://freie-szene-tage.de.

Zur filmischen Dokumentation von „Spielraum“ suchen wir zunĂ€chst nach Projektskizzen. In einem zweiten Schritt werden die Einreicher*innen des ausgewĂ€hlten Projektes zu dessen Realisierung gegen ein entsprechendes Honorar aufgerufen. Angestrebt wird ein kĂŒnstlerisch frei gestalteter Kurzfilm, der ausgewĂ€hlte Veranstaltungen von „Spielraum“ dokumentiert und mit wenigen Drehtagen durch ein kleines Team umsetzbar ist.

Der Open Call richtet sich an Berliner Akteur*innen der freien darstellenden KĂŒnste mit professionellen Erfahrungen im Bereich Film sowie an Studierende im Bereich Film aus dem Berliner Kontext oder verwandter Studienfelder mit Erfahrungen und Kenntnissen im Bereich Film.

Wir sind ein internationales Kunstkollektiv und realisieren nach Jahren gemeinsamer performativer Projekte unseren ersten Spielfilm.

DafĂŒr suchen wir eine*n Colorist*in mit starkem kĂŒnstlerischem GespĂŒr, die*der uns im Grading-Prozess begleitet und dabei hilft, die vielschichtige Bildsprache des Films herauszuarbeiten.

Das Projekt experimentiert mit wechselnden Bildformaten, ErzĂ€hlebenen und visuellen Texturen. Diese ÜbergĂ€nge sind nicht nur narrative Mittel, sondern tief in die Ă€sthetische Grammatik des Films eingebettet. Wir wĂŒnschen uns jemanden, der Lust hat, dieses Konzept zu verstĂ€rken – Kontraste gezielt einzusetzen und feine ÜbergĂ€nge zu gestalten, wo sich RealitĂ€ten und Bilder ineinander verschieben.

Wir möchten mit jemandem zusammenarbeiten, der ĂŒber technische Perfektion hinaus denkt und offen ist fĂŒr einen Dialog ĂŒber das Bild als Ausdruck von Emotion, Rhythmus und Erinnerung.

Der Arbeitszeitraum ist idealerweise von Ende Juni bis Ende Juli.

We are an international art collective and are realizing our first feature film after years of performative projects together.

We are looking for someone to join our process for Colorgrading with a strong artistic sensibility who can help us bring out the layered visual language of the film.

The project experiments with shifting aspect ratios, narrative levels, and visual textures. These transitions are not just narrative devices. They are woven into the aesthetic grammar of the film. We’re looking for a colorist who is excited to amplify this concept: to create contrast where needed, and subtle bridges where images and realities blur.

We’d love to collaborate with someone who can think beyond technical correctness and is open to a dialogue about image as emotion, rhythm, and memory.

The collaboration would ideally take place between late June and late July.

Sound Person Wanted for Film Projects (Independent & Improvised)

We are looking for a sound-minded collaborator to join various film projects (shorts and features) – starting as soon as possible.

About the projects:
These are low-budget, artist-driven productions with a strong focus on improvisation – both in form and process.

The core team currently includes the director, a group of performers, and collaborating musicians.
We’re developing these projects step by step and are looking for someone who wants to grow into the process with us.

About the filmmaker:
The projects are initiated by Stephan Seidel, originally coming from a theater background and now active in film. His recent works have been shown at Luru Kino Leipzig, Babylon Kino Berlin, and
the Anchorage Museum.

The work is influenced by the artistic and working methods of John Cassavetes, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, the Nouvelle Vague, and by approaches from performance and visual art. The process is
collaborative and presence-based, with an interest in raw dynamics and real-time discovery.

What you’ll do:

‱ Capture clean and expressive sound on set (dialogue, atmosphere, movement, etc.)
‱ Help shape the sonic dimension of the films in close dialogue with direction and performers
‱ Work in diverse conditions – often improvised, sometimes minimal setups, always process-focused
‱ Contribute your own perspective and sensitivity to sound as part of the artistic language
‱ Equipment can be provided or ideally brought in (flexible depending on your setup)

You might be a good fit if…:

‱ You’re attentive, collaborative, and have a good ear
‱ You enjoy shaping sound in a creative and flexible way
‱ You’re comfortable working in open, evolving setups
‱ Experience is welcome – but curiosity and commitment matter more

Production Support Wanted for Master’s Documentary Film Project (University of the Arts Berlin)

A Master’s student in Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of the Arts Berlin (UdK) is currently working on a short documentary film exploring themes of investment speculation, spatial clubs, and their consequences — including the creation of urban shadow spaces.

The project is part of a final Master’s thesis and seeks a motivated person to support the production side of the film. While the position is unpaid, this is a unique opportunity to collaborate on an artistic academic project, gain experience, and receive official credit for your contribution. There is already some people from Filmarche involved in the Project.

We are looking for someone reliable and organized, ideally with an interest or some background in film production or cultural projects.

Timeframe: July and August 2025

Hey people!

We need help!!

On June 16th, we‘ll be shooting a showreel scene.

The scene is about two sisters who unexpectedly meet again in a yoga class. Their relationship is tense—ranging from strained to outright hostile—and they start airing their conflicts right in the middle of the peaceful session.
We’ll be shooting from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.We’re currently looking for someone to help us with lighting. All the footage will be made available immediately and can be used for your own portfolio or showreel. We’re happy to send the script and storyboard upon request.The shoot will take place at Fincan KulturcafĂ© in Neukölln.

Unfortunately, we can’t offer a fee, but food and drinks will be provided.
