Coproduction Office/Essential Filmproduktion GmbH is an international company (Germany, France, Great Britain, Denmark) that produces and distributes bold and award-winning films. Producer and founder Philippe Bober has produced thirty-two films to date by innovative directors such as Roy Andersson, Jessica Hausner, Ruben Östlund, Carlos Reygadas and many more. The numerous awards won include the 2022 Palme d’Or for Ruben Östlund’s TRIANGLE OF SADNESS and the 2014 Golden Lion in Venice for Roy Andersson.
To support our team, we are looking for a part-time film manager (1-3 days per week) in Berlin (possibility of home office) as soon as possible.
Tasks
What to expect:
Managing the general ledger (experience in dealing with Sesam is an advantage)
You take care of the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
You take over the day-to-day business in financial, accounts payable and accounts receivable accounting
You manage the internal processing and approval process as well as the account assignment of incoming and outgoing invoices
You carry out account reconciliations, bank postings, accruals and cash management
You work in direct contact with our management, our project managers and our project assistants
You act as a contact for internal and external partners, in particular tax consultants and auditors
You support the CFO and the project managers in preparing financing and bank loan applications
Profile
What you bring with you:
Strong commercial knowledge
Practical experience in financial accounting and bookkeeping
Experienced handling of SESAM FIBU / (payroll) is an advantage
Very good knowledge of accounting according to HGB/IFRS. Ideally also in the group accounting of an international company
English (at least B1)
