Short Doku: Kenya Mission
A short documentary capturing the experience of a group of Kenyan children brought to Israel for life-saving heart surgery, provided by the Save a Child’s Heart Foundation. Save a Child’s Heart (SACH) is an Israeli nonprofit organisation that provides free heart surgery to kids around the world. The short has been screened at several fundraisers to secure additional funds for saving more children’s hearts.
For two months, Angelique Lettich filmed the kenyan moms and kids, their day-to-day experiences and even an open-heart surgery.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Angelique Lettich spent her childhood traveling abroad on her father’s international film sets, catching the travel bug early. While earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree at California State University Northridge, she worked as a Production Coordinator on various music videos, including Beirut, Nikka Costa and Mandy Moore. Following her production role, she became a Creative Development Executive at Fixed Point Films in 2010, working on co-productions with Sony Affirm. Inspired by Birthright Israel, she moved to Tel Aviv in 2014, serving as a production fellow at Hop! TV, Israel’s lead children’s television network. She currently lives in Berlin, Germany.
The event will be in English, without a translation.
