About the director
Lior Shamriz was born in 1978 in Ashkelon (Israel) where he started making films and music. A prolific filmmaker, his work often revolves around the construction of headspaces in cinema and the formation of reality and sensuality through relationships between scenery and duration, submissive pre-camp pathos and neo-decadence, spectacle and textuality, acting and being.

Since 2007, his work has been shown in over 100 film festivals, including the Berlin Film Festival (2010,2013),Locarno, Torino, Sarajevo, Max Ophüls, BAFICI and venues such as MoMA, KW-Berlin, Centre George Pompidou, Kiasma Museum and the Ludwing Museum Köln, awarded prizes in Oberhausen, Berlin New Award and more. In 2012 his work received a 10 parts tribute at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival. Also makes music.
